Live Fully — Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Live Fully (Pty) Ltd (Registration number 2026/779716/07), a private company registered in South Africa ("we", "us"), runs the Live Fully app and website at livefully.co.za. We are the responsible party for your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

To ask about your information, or to exercise any right in this policy, contact our Information Officer:

This policy tells you what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and your rights. Please read it before creating an account.

2. What we collect and why

We collect only what the app needs. You give us all of it directly, apart from the visit counts described under Cookies below, which happen only if you allow them. We do not buy information about you or collect it from other sources.

What we never collect: your password (Google stores only a scrambled version we cannot read), payment details, your location, or health information. Nothing you do in the Fitness, Nutrition or Wellness sections is recorded against your name.

Newsletter: we do not send a newsletter yet. If we start one, it will go only to people who switch it on, every issue will have a link to unsubscribe in one tap, and we will update this policy first.

3. Who else processes it, and where

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with advertisers or anyone else. The only other parties that handle it are Google, which runs the app's infrastructure for us and, if you allow cookies, counts visits through Google Analytics, and Amazon, which sends our account emails, such as a password reset link. They process it only on our instructions, under the Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms and the AWS Data Processing Addendum:

ServiceWhat it doesYour information it handles
Firebase AuthenticationSigns you inEmail, name, sign-in method
Cloud FirestoreStores your account settings, favourites and feedbackYour settings, your favourites and anything you send us
Firebase HostingDelivers the app to your deviceTechnical connection data, such as IP address

Google AnalyticsCounts visits and how the app is used, only if you allow cookiesA random number kept in a cookie on your device, the screens you open, links you tap, your device type and approximate city. Never your name or email. Google says it does not store IP addresses in Google Analytics
Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon Web Services)Sends account emails, such as a password reset link you ask forYour email address, and whether the email was delivered

Where it is stored and processed:

The United States, Belgium and Sweden are outside South Africa. POPIA section 72 allows this where the recipient is bound to protect the information to a standard similar to POPIA: Google is bound by its data processing terms, and Amazon by its data processing terms and by European data protection law.

Google Analytics information is processed by Google, including in the United States of America, under Google's data processing terms, which hold it to a standard similar to POPIA. We keep it for 14 months, then it is deleted.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example under a court order.

4. How long we keep it, and how we protect it

Keeping it: we keep your account information while your account is open. When you delete your account in Settings, your account, your settings, your favourites and the feedback you sent in the app are removed straight away. If you ask us by email instead, we do the same within 30 days. Emails you sent us are deleted within 30 days if you ask.

Protecting it:

If we ever learn that your personal information has been accessed without permission, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as soon as reasonably possible, as POPIA section 22 requires.

5. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

Email feedback@livefully.co.za to use any of these rights. We will reply within 30 days, free of charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that nobody else can get your information.

Complaining to the Information Regulator. Please contact us first so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Regulator:

Regulator details checked on their official site on 26 September 2026.

6. Other things you should know

Age. Live Fully is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Storage on your device. The app saves some things on your own phone or computer so that it opens quickly and the way you left it: your settings, a copy of your favourites, your cookie choice, that you are signed in, and copies of the day's content. If you have an account, your settings and favourites are also kept with it, as described above; the rest stays on your device. All of it is cleared if you clear your browser or app data, and signing out ends the sign-in.

Using the app without an account. You can look around Live Fully without an account. We do not ask you for any personal information then. Unless you allow cookies, we keep none about you. Your browser keeps copies of the day's content, such as events, recipes and articles, so the app opens quickly, and how long you have been looking, so that it can remind you to log in. These stay on your device. Like any website, our hosting provider (Google) records the internet address a request comes from.

Cookies. Live Fully asks before using any cookies that are not needed for the app to work. If you tap "Allow all cookies", Google Analytics places its cookies on your device to count visits as described above. If you tap "Decline", nothing is counted and no analytics cookies are placed. You can change your choice at any time: Change your cookie choice. The stay-signed-in cookie below is needed for the app to work and is used for nothing else.

Staying signed in. When you sign in, we place one cookie on your device so you stay signed in, even if your browser clears the app's other saved data. It holds only a random code, used for nothing else and never shared. We keep a scrambled copy of that code with your account. It lasts up to six months from your last visit, and ends when you log out, change or reset your password, or delete your account.

Other websites. Links in the app — to events, YouTube, product sites or YouVersion — take you to sites we do not run. Their own privacy policies apply there.

YouTube. Some videos in the app, such as the daily yoga class, play through YouTube and use YouTube API Services. When you play one, YouTube and Google may collect information under the Google Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store any of that information.

Spotify. Some podcast episodes in the app play through Spotify's player. It loads only when you tap Play here. Once it loads, Spotify may collect information under the Spotify Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store any of that information.

Changes to this policy. If we change how we use your information, we will update this policy and tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
